# Spend tiers
> See how lifetime paid credit purchases automatically unlock higher RunInfra usage limits.
Spend tiers unlock higher usage limits automatically as your workspace purchases credits. You do not buy or renew a tier. RunInfra assigns the highest tier reached by your lifetime paid credit purchases.
These boundaries are introductory values. RunInfra can update the tier boundaries and limit profiles without changing how automatic assignment works.
## Introductory boundaries

| **Scale** | \$250 or more | Higher limits than Build |
| **Production** | \$1,000 or more | Highest introductory limits |
Your tier uses purchases, not credit consumption. Spending credits does not reduce your lifetime purchase total.
## What a tier changes
Each tier controls the workspace limits for:
* Concurrent hosted inference requests
* Hosted token throughput
* Request rate
* Concurrent GPU runs
* Paid agent tool usage within a chat turn
The tier changes limits only. It does not purchase a plan or change which plan features your workspace has.
## What counts toward lifetime purchases
Successful paid credit purchases count toward your lifetime total, including manual top-ups and successful automatic recharges. Welcome credits, promotional grants, and other non-purchased credits do not count.
RunInfra recalculates your tier when a paid credit purchase lands. If the new lifetime total crosses a boundary, the higher tier applies automatically.
